Publius, thanks for the input but I don't know of any congressmen that we can't do without. Think of all the qualified people that don't even concider running because of the incumbent factor. Then think of all the scum that never seem to leave no matter how harmful and decrepit they become. I my opinion, the longer they are in office the more corrupt they become and the less connected to the people they are. If two terms is long enough for the president then why not the congress?
Term limits are only the first step in reform we need. We also need to eliminate all forms of lobbying. I don't buy that this is free speech. We also need campaign finance reform so that you don't have to spend 1 million dollars to get elected to a $200,000 a year job.
