The U.S. proposed opening its highways to Mexican trucks under a second test program that would require Mexican drivers to be proficient in the English language and U.S. traffic laws.

The two countries may reach an agreement to allow cross- border trucking within weeks, Mexican Deputy Transportation Minister Humberto Trevino said today in a telephone interview.

As part of the North American Free Trade Agreement, the U.S. agreed to allow Mexican trucks access to deliver goods in the U.S., a pledge it never fully honored after safety advocates and union officials said Mexico’s trucks and drivers didn’t meet U.S. standards. The U.S. canceled its previous trucking program in 2009, leading Mexico to impose tariffs on U.S. products.

The new proposed program will last 3 years instead of the 1 year trial that ended in 2009.

Of course the U.S. Chamber of Commerce praised this proposed program because it will increase exports but no mention of the trucking jobs it will also export.p; While Mexican truckers are eagerly awaiting the opportunity to operate within the U.S., U.S. truckers are obviously reluctant to transverse the Mexican highways.

People of New Orleans, you may not have a place to live but at least you have a new Mexican Consulate. George Bush was delighted to be on hand to celebrate the reopening of the consulate April 21st.
I wasn't aware that we can thank the Mexican military for their assistance in the Katrina disaster. I wonder if this is the same military that has been shooting at American civilians and border patrol and directing drug traffickers?

Oh and we can also thank President Calderone for the following reassuring words:

"And this consulate in New Orleans, the 48th of our country on U.S. soil and the fifth that Mexico has opened during my administration, will contribute to the purpose of strengthening the ties between Mexico and the United States, and so that North America moves towards a future of prosperity and security for our nations. May all Mexicans who live in the United States know, and in particular those who are living in the states of Louisiana and Mississippi, that my administration will continue to watch over its -- their security and their rights."

Yes and thank you for bringing us one step closer to the North American Union and destroying our sovereignty. Thanks a bunch.

Why I can't vote for Rudy.

"Just this month, independent journalist Diane Grassi first broke the story of Giuliani's involvement with the NAFTA Superhighway, writing that, "All negotiations for Cintra were and are presently handled by the law firm, Bracewell & Giuliani, LLP, of which Republican Presidential candidate, Rudolph Giuliani, has been a senior executive partner since March 2005. His law firm is the exclusive legal counsel for Cintra."

Rudy is just one more North American Union organizer willing to sell out this country for his own gain. Mark him off my list of possible candidates.

Is the North American Union behind schedule?

Originally the union of Canada, the U.S., and Mexico was to be in 2010, now the Mexico's U. N. representative has stated that it must be done in 8 years, before the U.S. baby boomers retirement wave hits full force. They contend that illegal immigration is actually good for the U.S. economy and do not drain U.S. social services.
Isn't it comforting to know that all these life changing plans are being conducted behind our backs? Why should the American people and the Congress be bothered by all this trivia?

North American Union or bust

Still not convinced that the North American Union has been the goal of globalists for the last 20 years.

Today, 20 working groups operate out of offices in the Commerce Department preparing policy papers, memorandums of understanding, and trilateral declarations of agreement, laying the foundation for how the agreement will work. Each working group has a counterpart in the other two nations. The Bush Administration refuses to release the names of the members of the working groups. Members of the groups and top Administration leaders including the Secretaries of Defense, State and Homeland Security have attended top level meetings in Canada and Mexico to discuss SPP policy such as "Demographic and Social Dimensions of North American Integration."
Yet, all of these very expensive meetings and travel expenses, paid for by the Administration have never been authorized by the U.S. Congress. Officially, Congress has never been informed of the activities of the SPP, nor have they been approved. It's all been created behind the scenes with the use of the President's Executive Order pen.

If these one world globalists were really acting in the best interest of our individual countries they wouldn't lie and hide most of these operations from congress and the American people.
