"The People are the masters of both Congress and courts, not to overthrow the Constitution, but to overthrow the men who pervert it!" Abraham Lincoln... ”As democracy is perfected, the office represents, more and more closely, the inner soul of the people. We move toward a lofty ideal. On some great and glorious day the plain folks of the land will reach their hearts desire at last, and the White House will be adorned by a downright moron.” - H.L. Mencken

We don't need no stinkin' property rights!

From World Net Daily.
The Colorado Supreme Court today ruled that parks and open space are so important in Colorado cities have the right to condemn property – even outside their borders – to prevent development on land officials want for the public.
The case result announced today involved the "Valley Floor" land just outside the exclusive mountain town of Telluride, which demanded nearly 600 acres of private land owned by several corporations essentially representing Neal Blue, the owner of General Atomics which builds the nation's Predator drone aircraft.
He had proposed several years ago building 22 homes on 64 acres of his private land, and providing new sites for a hospital and school. Then the rest of the land – 91 percent – would be placed under a conservation easement to protect it forever.
The property, if there is no further court action, will be transferred to the city, which must generate about $50 million in payment. However, that already has been set aside by the town where Tom Cruise, Daryl Hanna, diplomat Richard Holbrooke and eBay CEO Meg Whitman have residences.
While this may look like just an example of a few super rich brats ganging up on another super rich brat, it really is another example of judges breaking the state constitution and possibly getting away with it.

A Step in the Right Direction
Other cities will be watching how this event in America's fifth largest city plays out. With any luck we will see the trend toward sancuary cities disappear.

Thank you President Bush
People of New Orleans, you may not have a place to live but at least you have a new Mexican Consulate. George Bush was delighted to be on hand to celebrate the reopening of the consulate April 21st.I wasn't aware that we can thank the Mexican military for their assistance in the Katrina disaster. I wonder if this is the same military that has been shooting at American civilians and border patrol and directing drug traffickers?
Oh and we can also thank President Calderone for the following reassuring words:
"And this consulate in New Orleans, the 48th of our country on U.S. soil and the fifth that Mexico has opened during my administration, will contribute to the purpose of strengthening the ties between Mexico and the United States, and so that North America moves towards a future of prosperity and security for our nations. May all Mexicans who live in the United States know, and in particular those who are living in the states of Louisiana and Mississippi, that my administration will continue to watch over its -- their security and their rights."
"Thank you very much, Mr. President, for being here, and much success to these new consular offices. Thank you very much. (Applause.)"
Yes and thank you for bringing us one step closer to the North American Union and destroying our sovereignty. Thanks a bunch.

Bad Science Can Kill
“I think the question you’re asking is who’s behind the scare,” Monckton said. “There’s been a long history of scares recently and scientific frauds of various kinds. It began, I suppose, with the eugenics movement in the 1930s which led to Hitler. It followed on with the Lysenko movement in Russia under Stalin. It went on with the great leap back under Chairman Mao which led again to tens of millions of deaths. The point you’re making is that this kills people if you get the science wrong.”
Monckton used the banning of DDT, which was linked to the deaths of 40 million children dying from malaria, as an example. The World Health Organization lifted the ban on Sept. 14, 2006, and that was, as Monckton said, “The science standing in front of politics.”
Monckton held the media responsible for the one-sided portrayal of the climate change issue and stated that global warming alarmism can be defeated when refuted by science.
“You sell far more papers by saying, ‘Gee, wow – World to End; Shock; Sensation’ than you do by saying ‘Climate Continues to [be] Changeable,’ which is the truth,” Monckton said.
Monckton told the audience that the science will eventually prevail and the “scare” of global warming will go away.
“They’ve got the science wrong and it will gradually penetrate to the general public that they have got the science wrong and once the penny drops – that will be the end of this scare too,” Monckton added. “We’re not far away from it now.”

Art major Aliza Shvarts '08 wants to make a statement.
Beginning next Tuesday, Shvarts will be displaying her senior art project, a documentation of a nine-month process during which she artificially inseminated herself "as often as possible" while periodically taking abortifacient drugs to induce miscarriages. Her exhibition will feature video recordings of these forced miscarriages as well as preserved collections of the blood from the process.
The display of Schvarts' project will feature a large cube suspended from the ceiling of a room in the gallery of Green Hall. Schvarts will wrap hundreds of feet of plastic sheeting around this cube; lined between layers of the sheeting will be the blood from Schvarts' self-induced miscarriages mixed with Vaseline in order to prevent the blood from drying and to extend the blood throughout the plastic sheeting.
Schvarts will then project recorded videos onto the four sides of the cube. These videos, captured on a VHS camcorder, will show her experiencing miscarriages in her bathrooom tub, she said. Similar videos will be projected onto the walls of the room.

Doing the Jobs That Americans Won't Do.
Marcelino “Celino” Vargas-Escobar, 20, lived with the sister of 36-year-old Armando Paz-Mendez — described by federal prosecutors as “the primary supplier of heroin dealers” in the Eugene-Springfield area before his arrest last year.
Paz-Mendez was sentenced in February to 15 years in federal prison. The price of black tar heroin doubled in the local market soon after Paz-Mendez and more than 30 of his associates, including Vargas-Escobar, were arrested in March 2007, officials said.
n a statement to U.S. District Judge Michael Hogan, Vargas-Escobar apologized to the country, the community, his family and friends. “As you all know, every human being makes mistakes,” he said. “Some of us learn from them. Some of us fall back into that mistake. I am living that mistake.”
But hey, we all make mistakes, right? They just come here for a better life. To hell with your kid's life.

Win One For Joey.

It's official, shop owner Joey Vento can keep his "This is America: WHEN ORDERING 'PLEASE SPEAK ENGLISH' sign in his Philly cheesesteak shop. In a 2-1 vote a Commission on Human Relations panel found that his signs do not violate the city's Fair Practices Ordinance. Hopefully this will put an end to this B.S. but somehow I doubt it.

Sue Al Gore
Coleman told an audience at the 2008 International Conference on Climate Change on March 3 in New York that he is highly critical of global warming alarmism.
“The Weather Channel had great promise, and that’s all gone now because they’ve made every mistake in the book on what they’ve done and how they’ve done it and it’s very sad,” Coleman said. “It’s now for sale and there’s a new owner of The Weather Channel will be announced – several billion dollars having changed hands in the near future. Let’s hope the new owners can recapture the vision and stop reporting the traffic, telling us what to think and start giving us useful weather information.”
Coleman also told the audience his strategy for exposing what he called “the fraud of global warming.” He advocated suing those who sell carbon credits, which would force global warming alarmists to give a more honest account of the policies they propose.
“[I] have a feeling this is the opening,” Coleman said. “If the lawyers will take the case – sue the people who sell carbon credits. That includes Al Gore. That lawsuit would get so much publicity, so much media attention. And as the experts went to the media stand to testify, I feel like that could become the vehicle to finally put some light on the fraud of global warming.”

More on the Liberal Mind.
PRINCETON, NJ -- Republicans are significantly more likely than Democrats or independents to rate their mental health as excellent, according to data from the last four November Gallup Health and Healthcare polls. Fifty-eight percent of Republicans report having excellent mental health, compared to 43% of independents and 38% of Democrats. This relationship between party identification and reports of excellent mental health persists even within categories of income, age, gender, church attendance, and education.
The basic data -- based on an aggregated sample of more than 4,000 interviews conducted since 2004 -- are straightforward.
The study was no surprise to D. Lyle H. Rossiter, Jr., a noted psychiatrist and author of a controversial book that makes the clinical case liberalism is a mental illness.
"Based on strikingly irrational beliefs and emotions, modern liberals relentlessly undermine the most important principles on which our freedoms were founded," says Dr. Lyle Rossiter, author of the new book, "The Liberal Mind: The Psychological Causes of Political Madness." "Like spoiled, angry children, they rebel against the normal responsibilities of adulthood and demand that a parental government meet their needs from cradle to grave."
Dr. Rossiter says the liberal agenda preys on weakness and feelings of inferiority in the population by:
* creating and reinforcing perceptions of victimization;
* satisfying infantile claims to entitlement, indulgence and compensation;
* augmenting primitive feelings of envy;
* rejecting the sovereignty of the individual, subordinating him to the will of the government.
Well, Dah.
ELF=Effete Liberal Fucktards

The Earth Liberation Front is suspected of setting fire to luxury homes near Seattle (KING-TV, Seattle)
SEATTLE – Police suspect an environmental terrorist group is behind the burning of five luxury homes in a model "Street of Dreams" development northeast of Seattle this morning.
A message signed by ELF was left at the scene, north of Woodinville, according to Snohomish County District Seven Chief Rick Eastman in a report by local KING-TV.
The Woodinville homes, according to a homebuilder who served as a judge in last summer's Street of Dreams show, used "Built Green" standards such as water-pervious sidewalks, super-insulated walls and windows and products made with recycled materials, the Post-Intelligencer reported. Advertising emphasized the environmentally friendly aspects of the homes, which were smaller than some featured in previous years.
Firefighters were not allowed near the homes, officials said, for fear of booby traps. Eastman said the blazes, which began at about 4 a.m. local time, were set at six houses. Three have been completely destroyed and two others seriously damaged.
I wonder what the ecological damage results from burning houses to the ground?

The Eternal Confussion of the Liberal Mind
Dr. Lyle H. Rossiter, Jr. MD, general and forensic psychiatrist, has laid out in his learned opinion that the modern liberalism can only be described as a psychosis.
“Modern liberalism’s irrationality can only be understood as the product of psychopathology. So extravagant are the patterns of thinking, emoting, behaving and relating that characterize the liberal mind that its relentless protests and demands become understandable only as disorders of the psyche.” The Liberal Mind reveals the madness of the modern liberal for what it is: a massive transference neurosis acted out in the world’s political arenas, with devastating effects on the institutions of liberty.
Maybe the Liberals can establish a government agency to study and find a cure for this disease.

Dinosaurs on Mars?
NASA space rovers continue to send back information that seems to conflict with "consensus opinions".
While leading the grand UN claim that global warming is caused by humans, the Mars rover has reported back that Mars is warming at about the same rate as the Earth.
Now their Cassini probe is reporting back: "Several hundred lakes or seas have been discovered, of which dozens are estimated to contain more hydrocarbon liquid than the entire known oil and gas reserves on Earth," wrote lead scientist Ralph Lorenz of the university's Applied Physics Laboratory in the Jan. 29 issue of the Geophysical Research Letters.
Lorenz also reported dark dunes running along the equator cover 20 percent of Titan's surface, comprising a volume of hydrocarbon material several hundred times larger than Earth's coal reserves.
"Titan is just covered in carbon-bearing material – it's a giant factory of organic chemicals," Lorenz wrote.
"We have determined that Titan's methane is not of biological origin, so it must be replenished by geological processes on Titan, perhaps venting from a supply in the interior that could have been trapped there as the moon formed," Hasso Niemann of the Goddard Space Flight Center told reporters Nov. 30, 2005.
What does this mean-well that the common "consensus" that oil is made from dead dinosaurs and vegetation may be all wet. Maybe, just maybe it is a product that is constantly being produced in the center of the Earth.
I always wondered why the never seemed to find a large quantity of dinosaur bones in the Middle East and they did find a lot in Montana. Hummmm.

If you enforce it, they will leave
In Arizona:
“A federal judge on Thursday upheld an Arizona law that prohibits businesses from knowingly hiring illegal immigrants and yanks the business licenses of those that do. U.S. District Judge Neil Wake dismissed a lawsuit filed by business groups that argued that federal immigration law severely restricts Arizona's ability to punish people who knowingly employ illegal immigrants.”
State Representative Russell K. Pearce, a Republican from Mesa and leading advocate of the crackdown on illegal immigration, takes reports of unauthorized workers leaving as a sign of success. An estimated one in 10 workers in Arizona are Hispanic immigrants, both legal and illegal, twice the national average.
“The desired effect was, we don’t have the red carpet out for illegal aliens,” Mr. Pearce said, adding that while “most of these are good people” they are a “tremendous burden” on public services.
Elizabeth Leon, a legal immigrant and day care worker, said the families of two of her charges abruptly left, forcing the state to take custody of the children.
I'm sorry but does this make sense to you? Leave your kids behind.
Even the legal immigrants have come to realize that they are being hurt by the illegal invasion.
"Juan Leon, a construction subcontractor and the husband of Elizabeth Leon, the day care worker, said illegal immigrants had made it harder for legal residents like him to find work. Companies that employ them can bid much lower on projects than he can because they pay workers much less, Mr. Leon said.
“I hate to see families torn apart,” he said of the current flight, “but there is no money to be made sometimes because some contractors who employ illegal workers can do the job dirt cheap.”

Something to think about.
Someone who does not smoke or is not obese is more likely to live to a ripe old age and suffer from serious expensive conditions and diseases such a Alzheimer's.
While the government uses the excuse that since the burden of your decadent lifestyle will have a costly impact on the health care system to dictate what you eat and various other life choices, perhaps the answer is to simply die sooner.

What more can you ask for?
Dr. Ron Paul has the endorsement of Arlo Guthrie!
Mr. Guthrie says:
ARLINGTON, VIRGINIA – Republican presidential candidate and Texas Congressman Ron Paul’s campaign has been endorsed by legendary folk singer-songwriter Arlo Guthrie.
Guthrie, known for a series of hits including “Alice’s Restaurant,” issued the following endorsement of Dr. Paul:
“I love this guy. Dr. Paul is the only candidate I know of who would have signed the Constitution of The United States had he been there. I'm with him, because he seems to be the only candidate who actually believes it has as much relevance today as it did a couple of hundred years ago. I look forward to the day when we can work out the differences we have with the same revolutionary vision and enthusiasm that is our American legacy.”
Way to go Arlo.
