It's time for Justice!

US attorney Johnny Sutton's darling witness,Osvaldo Aldrete-Davila, the drug smuggler who testified against Border Patrol Agents Ramos and Compean has finally been arrested on charges of bringing in more than 750 pounds of marijuana into the US again.

This is the second time Mr. Aldrete-Davila has attempted to smuggle the same amount into the U.S.

It's time to open this complete file, shed light on Johnny Sutton and his lackey Debra Kanof and put them where they belong, in jail.
And it's way past time to release Ramos and Compean and attempt to make it right with them and their families.

Welcome to racially insensitive Eugene

"Shawn Fincher says he could hardly have felt more welcomed when he arrived in Eugene three years ago. Now, he wants to make sure that the athletes who arrive in Eugene for the 2008 Olympic Trials — especially black athletes — feel equally at home."

I think it is a wonderful idea that all competing athletes are made to feel welcome when they visit "Tracktown USA". However, according to Angel Jones, Eugene's city manager pro tem, USA Track and Field officials voiced concerns about Eugene's racial demographics and whether athletes would feel welcome here.

However, Lane County Commissioner Bobby Green, who also served on the committee that presented Eugene's bid, said he doesn't recall USA officials raising any such questions.
Also, Jill Geer, spokeswoman for USA Track & Field, said she and others don't recall if concern about Eugene's demographics was explicitly raised during the site selection process.

This is all well and good but this self appointed welcoming committee is concerned that the rest of us culturally impaired hillbillies that live here will embarrass them and are in need of diversity training. Betty Snowden a Eugene real estate broker and BOTT (Blacks on Track Team) member suggests that "volunteers might be reminded that certain greetings might be appropriate in some instances between two black people, but less so if made by a white person to a black person".
Snowden — who, like Fincher, Jones and Green, is black — said she also has concerns about black people being shadowed by clerks when they visit retail stores. “People of color go through things like that, and that’s not a face that Eugene wants to show,” she said.

Gee, does this mean that I have to keep my sheet and cross locked up in the closet for the whole Olympic Trials?
It would appear that if Mr. Fincher, who is black, could hardly have felt more welcomed when he arrived in Eugene three years ago we must be doing something right.

P R Mexican style

Mexico's newest corrupt president Felipe Calderon has announced concern about the "growing harassment" of Mexicans in the United States. He has called the millions of illegals in America "thematic hostages" of the 2008 presidential campaign and insisted that American politicians not use Mexican illegal aliens as a talking point.
Calderon announced that his administration would finance a media campaign in America to counter the negative image of illegal aliens by focusing instead on “success stories” about Mexican invaders.
Illegal immigration is a scorching hot button issue with Americans who are fed up with your countrymen and women who invade our nation and cost taxpayers hundreds of billions of dollars every year, and who degrade homeland security, education, health care, and nearly every aspect of American life.
Finally, do not waste your corrupt pesos on a PR campaign in America. Instead, save that dinero for the day when millions of illegal aliens are shipped back to Mexico, to your attention, where they belong!

Portland- Haven for the off beat

Imagine finding out that even liberal Portland Oregon doesn't appreciate your peculiar little habits. That's what happened to self-proclaimed pedophile Jack McClellan.

"Though McClellan claims he is sexually attracted to young girls, he said he has never molested one. He started a Web site that advises other pedophiles about the best public places to watch young girls, such as parks and libraries. Outrage over it led McClellan to be hounded out of Washington and California earlier this year, and gained him national notoriety.

In choosing to move to Portland, he cited its reputation as a "haven for offbeat people." But in a cell phone interview with The Oregonian on Monday, McClellan said he's done with the city. "
Tri-Met has temporarily banned Mr. McClellan from it's public transportation system for comments printed on his website:
"I've discovered public transportation has its good points: I regularly ride with LGs," or little girls, whom he notes are "usually accompanied by their low-income mothers only."

His comment on the site indicates it has since been edited. But the police report quotes the comment at the time as continuing: "I've made some drug connections by mingling with other bus riders: a guy gave me a psilocybin mushroom cap this morning (what a beautiful day!), and two guys gave me a couple of hits off their pipe full of strong marijuana while we were waiting for the bus to this Internet cafe (I'm still high as I type this, ha ha)."

How to hyperlink in a blog post

Hope this helps.
It is convenient to copy the url of your link directly by right clicking the url adress in the browser to highlite it and then pasting it directly into your blog post right after you have typed in (a href=) Note, I used ( and ) to illustrate but when you actually type it you use < and >. If I used them here you would not be able to see them because of the hyperlink language.

Bring on the ACLU

Let's all spit on the alter of political correctness. How dare some piss-ant bureaucrat in Washington even think he could interfere with the solemn ceremony surrounding the memorial of our fallen veterans?
Veterans Affairs has a policy that allows for a full military funeral, which includes the playing of taps and the folding of the flag in respectful silence. Upon request, family can have honor guard read special recitations, which include religious symbolism. When a complain was filed to the White House after one of those recitations was read incorrectly, Steve L. Muro, the director of the National Cemetery Administration's field program office, ordered the cemetery directors to stop the readings.
He wrote in a memo obtained by FOXNews.com, "The National Cemetery Administration must not give meaning, or appear to give meaning to the folds of the flag by endorsing or distributing any handouts on 'The Meaning of Each Fold of an Honor Guard Funeral Flag."
A complaint about the recitation for the 11th fold — "in the eyes of a Hebrew citizen, represents the lower portion of the seal of King David and King Solomon, and glorifies, in their eyes, the God of Abraham, Issac and Jacob" — garnered a complaint and prompted the ban.
“Honoring the burial wishes of veterans is one of the highest commitments for the men and women of VA,” said William F. Tuerk, the VA’s Under Secretary for Memorial Affairs, in a statement released late Tuesday. “A family may request the recitation of words to accompany the meaningful presentation of the American flag as we honor the dedication and sacrifice of their loved ones.”
The bottom line is what ever the family wants said or not said is what matters here, not the opinion of one or two self important trouble makers.
