Doing the Jobs That Americans Won't Do.

Two illegal immigrants, including a 20-year-old who attended Willamette High School, were each sentenced to 10 years in prison Tuesday for their roles in a heroin ring that investigators believe distributed about 55 pounds of heroin and 15 pounds of methamphetamine monthly in the southern Willamette Valley.
Marcelino “Celino” Vargas-Escobar, 20, lived with the sister of 36-year-old Armando Paz-Mendez — described by federal prosecutors as “the primary supplier of heroin dealers” in the Eugene-Springfield area before his arrest last year.

Paz-Mendez was sentenced in February to 15 years in federal prison. The price of black tar heroin doubled in the local market soon after Paz-Mendez and more than 30 of his associates, including Vargas-Escobar, were arrested in March 2007, officials said.

n a statement to U.S. District Judge Michael Hogan, Vargas-Escobar apologized to the country, the community, his family and friends. “As you all know, every human being makes mistakes,” he said. “Some of us learn from them. Some of us fall back into that mistake. I am living that mistake.”

But hey, we all make mistakes, right? They just come here for a better life. To hell with your kid's life.

Win One For Joey.

It's official, shop owner Joey Vento can keep his "This is America: WHEN ORDERING 'PLEASE SPEAK ENGLISH' sign in his Philly cheesesteak shop. In a 2-1 vote a Commission on Human Relations panel found that his signs do not violate the city's Fair Practices Ordinance. Hopefully this will put an end to this B.S. but somehow I doubt it.

Sue Al Gore

The Weather Channel has lost its way, according to John Coleman, who founded the channel in 1982.
Coleman told an audience at the 2008 International Conference on Climate Change on March 3 in New York that he is highly critical of global warming alarmism.
“The Weather Channel had great promise, and that’s all gone now because they’ve made every mistake in the book on what they’ve done and how they’ve done it and it’s very sad,” Coleman said. “It’s now for sale and there’s a new owner of The Weather Channel will be announced – several billion dollars having changed hands in the near future. Let’s hope the new owners can recapture the vision and stop reporting the traffic, telling us what to think and start giving us useful weather information.”
Coleman also told the audience his strategy for exposing what he called “the fraud of global warming.” He advocated suing those who sell carbon credits, which would force global warming alarmists to give a more honest account of the policies they propose.
“[I] have a feeling this is the opening,” Coleman said. “If the lawyers will take the case – sue the people who sell carbon credits. That includes Al Gore. That lawsuit would get so much publicity, so much media attention. And as the experts went to the media stand to testify, I feel like that could become the vehicle to finally put some light on the fraud of global warming.”

More on the Liberal Mind.

by Frank Newport

PRINCETON, NJ -- Republicans are significantly more likely than Democrats or independents to rate their mental health as excellent, according to data from the last four November Gallup Health and Healthcare polls. Fifty-eight percent of Republicans report having excellent mental health, compared to 43% of independents and 38% of Democrats. This relationship between party identification and reports of excellent mental health persists even within categories of income, age, gender, church attendance, and education.

The basic data -- based on an aggregated sample of more than 4,000 interviews conducted since 2004 -- are straightforward.

The study was no surprise to D. Lyle H. Rossiter, Jr., a noted psychiatrist and author of a controversial book that makes the clinical case liberalism is a mental illness.

"Based on strikingly irrational beliefs and emotions, modern liberals relentlessly undermine the most important principles on which our freedoms were founded," says Dr. Lyle Rossiter, author of the new book, "The Liberal Mind: The Psychological Causes of Political Madness." "Like spoiled, angry children, they rebel against the normal responsibilities of adulthood and demand that a parental government meet their needs from cradle to grave."

Dr. Rossiter says the liberal agenda preys on weakness and feelings of inferiority in the population by:
* creating and reinforcing perceptions of victimization;
* satisfying infantile claims to entitlement, indulgence and compensation;
* augmenting primitive feelings of envy;
* rejecting the sovereignty of the individual, subordinating him to the will of the government.

Well, Dah.

ELF=Effete Liberal Fucktards

The Earth Liberation Front is suspected of setting fire to luxury homes near Seattle (KING-TV, Seattle)
SEATTLE – Police suspect an environmental terrorist group is behind the burning of five luxury homes in a model "Street of Dreams" development northeast of Seattle this morning.
A message signed by ELF was left at the scene, north of Woodinville, according to Snohomish County District Seven Chief Rick Eastman in a report by local KING-TV.
The Woodinville homes, according to a homebuilder who served as a judge in last summer's Street of Dreams show, used "Built Green" standards such as water-pervious sidewalks, super-insulated walls and windows and products made with recycled materials, the Post-Intelligencer reported. Advertising emphasized the environmentally friendly aspects of the homes, which were smaller than some featured in previous years.
Firefighters were not allowed near the homes, officials said, for fear of booby traps. Eastman said the blazes, which began at about 4 a.m. local time, were set at six houses. Three have been completely destroyed and two others seriously damaged.

I wonder what the ecological damage results from burning houses to the ground?

The Eternal Confussion of the Liberal Mind

Perhaps you yourself have wondered, what is wrong with these Liberals? How can they possibly believe what they are saying? Well have no fear.
Dr. Lyle H. Rossiter, Jr. MD, general and forensic psychiatrist, has laid out in his learned opinion that the modern liberalism can only be described as a psychosis.

“Modern liberalism’s irrationality can only be understood as the product of psychopathology. So extravagant are the patterns of thinking, emoting, behaving and relating that characterize the liberal mind that its relentless protests and demands become understandable only as disorders of the psyche.” The Liberal Mind reveals the madness of the modern liberal for what it is: a massive transference neurosis acted out in the world’s political arenas, with devastating effects on the institutions of liberty.

Maybe the Liberals can establish a government agency to study and find a cure for this disease.

Dinosaurs on Mars?

Houston we have a problem.
NASA space rovers continue to send back information that seems to conflict with "consensus opinions".
While leading the grand UN claim that global warming is caused by humans, the Mars rover has reported back that Mars is warming at about the same rate as the Earth.
Now their Cassini probe is reporting back: "Several hundred lakes or seas have been discovered, of which dozens are estimated to contain more hydrocarbon liquid than the entire known oil and gas reserves on Earth," wrote lead scientist Ralph Lorenz of the university's Applied Physics Laboratory in the Jan. 29 issue of the Geophysical Research Letters.

Lorenz also reported dark dunes running along the equator cover 20 percent of Titan's surface, comprising a volume of hydrocarbon material several hundred times larger than Earth's coal reserves.

"Titan is just covered in carbon-bearing material – it's a giant factory of organic chemicals," Lorenz wrote.

"We have determined that Titan's methane is not of biological origin, so it must be replenished by geological processes on Titan, perhaps venting from a supply in the interior that could have been trapped there as the moon formed," Hasso Niemann of the Goddard Space Flight Center told reporters Nov. 30, 2005.

What does this mean-well that the common "consensus" that oil is made from dead dinosaurs and vegetation may be all wet. Maybe, just maybe it is a product that is constantly being produced in the center of the Earth.
I always wondered why the never seemed to find a large quantity of dinosaur bones in the Middle East and they did find a lot in Montana. Hummmm.

If you enforce it, they will leave

Tougher laws that penalize businesses that hire illegals and a slowing economy are responsible for many illegals heading back to Mexico.
In Arizona:
“A federal judge on Thursday upheld an Arizona law that prohibits businesses from knowingly hiring illegal immigrants and yanks the business licenses of those that do. U.S. District Judge Neil Wake dismissed a lawsuit filed by business groups that argued that federal immigration law severely restricts Arizona's ability to punish people who knowingly employ illegal immigrants.”

State Representative Russell K. Pearce, a Republican from Mesa and leading advocate of the crackdown on illegal immigration, takes reports of unauthorized workers leaving as a sign of success. An estimated one in 10 workers in Arizona are Hispanic immigrants, both legal and illegal, twice the national average.

“The desired effect was, we don’t have the red carpet out for illegal aliens,” Mr. Pearce said, adding that while “most of these are good people” they are a “tremendous burden” on public services.

Elizabeth Leon, a legal immigrant and day care worker, said the families of two of her charges abruptly left, forcing the state to take custody of the children.
I'm sorry but does this make sense to you? Leave your kids behind.

Even the legal immigrants have come to realize that they are being hurt by the illegal invasion.
"Juan Leon, a construction subcontractor and the husband of Elizabeth Leon, the day care worker, said illegal immigrants had made it harder for legal residents like him to find work. Companies that employ them can bid much lower on projects than he can because they pay workers much less, Mr. Leon said.

“I hate to see families torn apart,” he said of the current flight, “but there is no money to be made sometimes because some contractors who employ illegal workers can do the job dirt cheap.”

Something to think about.

Consider this. As we move closer and closer to the reality of government health care there are a few things we need to consider. According to a resent Dutch study about the impact of smoking and obesity, the Dutch health care system has determined that people that smoke or are overweight actually save the health care system money by dying sooner than their healthy counterparts. According to this study, the cost to the Dutch system of a thin non-smoker since the age 20 until death is about $417,000 while the cost of an obese person from 20 until death is about $371,000. Smokers have an average cost of $326,000.
Someone who does not smoke or is not obese is more likely to live to a ripe old age and suffer from serious expensive conditions and diseases such a Alzheimer's.
While the government uses the excuse that since the burden of your decadent lifestyle will have a costly impact on the health care system to dictate what you eat and various other life choices, perhaps the answer is to simply die sooner.

What more can you ask for?

Dr. Ron Paul has the endorsement of Arlo Guthrie!
Mr. Guthrie says:

ARLINGTON, VIRGINIA – Republican presidential candidate and Texas Congressman Ron Paul’s campaign has been endorsed by legendary folk singer-songwriter Arlo Guthrie.

Guthrie, known for a series of hits including “Alice’s Restaurant,” issued the following endorsement of Dr. Paul:

“I love this guy. Dr. Paul is the only candidate I know of who would have signed the Constitution of The United States had he been there. I'm with him, because he seems to be the only candidate who actually believes it has as much relevance today as it did a couple of hundred years ago. I look forward to the day when we can work out the differences we have with the same revolutionary vision and enthusiasm that is our American legacy.”

Way to go Arlo.

Al you got some 'splaining to do!

Just How Crazy Is Al Gore?
by Alan Caruba

"In a Jan. 24 Agence France Press story Gore asserted that, "the North Pole ice caps may disappear entirely during summer months within five years..."
I was instantly reminded of the story that ran in The New York Times in August 2000 claiming that the Pole was free of ice for the first time in 50 million years. It wasn’t, of course, because people who have actually been to the Arctic quickly noted that, in the summer, some ice actually does melt there. The Times retracted it three weeks later."

"The Times later published another story about Arctic ice loss, adding the equally bogus issue of polar bears dying as the result. Currently, Greens are trying to get polar bears declared an “endangered species” in order to close off all of Alaska to any exploration or the extraction of the billions of barrels of oil known to exist there.

The problem with this latest ploy is that the polar bear population has risen from approximately 5,000 in 1950 to around 25,000 today as documented by the U.S. Fish and Wildlife Service. It is the same agency being asked to declare the bears endangered and, for good measure, a species of loon as well."

"Responding to The New York Times fantasy of a melting North Pole, Dr. Singer asked, “Do we believe theoretical models of the atmosphere or the atmosphere itself?”

He might as well have asked, do we believe the bloviations of Al Gore or do we take note of his lifestyle that includes a house large enough to burn through more energy than twenty average homes, the use of private jets and limousines, or any other aspect of his life that suggests he is not into bicycles or walking.

Dr. Singer stated that “It is warmer now than it was 100 years ago” at the end of the last mini-Ice Age and that “This has had an influence on polar ice, which has been slowly thinning, as it melts from beneath. And the ice will continue to thin for some time to come even though the climate is no longer warming. Moral: It takes a lot of time to melt ice.”

Don't bother explaining Al, we have enough hot air in the atmosphere already.

John McCain-not your man.

For those of you who are considering voting for John McCain lest not forget his unforgivable role in infamous amnesty bill last year.
If you're buying into the lie that he has seen the error of his ways and is actually for tough immigration laws and securing the border please read the latest column by Michelle Malkin.
In the article she reminds us of John McCain's true feelings such as when he attacked Sen. Cornyn during a spat over enforcement provisions when he said "Fuck You" and "Chickenshit" when questioned of some of those provisions. And how about the fact that he voted against barring felons from receiving amnesty benefits under his plan. Or how about when talking to executives in Milwaukee, according to a recent Vanity Fair profile-"By the way, I think the fence is least effective," and "But I'll build the goddamned fence if they want it."
It just goes to show you that you really can't teach an old dog new tricks.
If you want someone to really be on your side on this illegal invasion issue then McCain is definitely not your man.

Who's responsible?

The Houston Chronicle reports that Robert Camp, the owner of a landscaping firm was arrested and faces up to 10 years in federal prison , accused of harboring one of his workers a Mr. Juan Leonardo Quintero, an illegal alien from Mexico charged with capital murder of Houston police officer Rodney J. Johnson.
One must wonder the motive for Mr. Camps incredible desire to aid the illegal alien criminal.
August of 1998 Mr. Camp posted a $10,000 cash bond for Quintero was charged with indecency with a child.
March of 1999 Quintero was convicted of a sexual offense with a minor.
May of 1999 Quintero is deported from the U.S.
Nov. of 1999 Quintero boards a Southwest Airline from Phoenix to Houston. His wife claims Camp purchesed the ticket.
Sept. 2006 Quintero is accused of fatally shooting Houston officer Johnson in the head during a traffic stop and charged with murder.
The question I have is aren't the elected official both local and national equally responsible for this tragedy for neglecting their sworn duty to protect this country from invasion?

Texan of Year?

The Dallas Morning News has announced it's choice for Texan of the Year. It's the illegal (alien) immigrant. What a shocker.
True to the course, even though they acknowledged the obvious problems associated with the illegal invasion, the majority of the article is composed of comments such as " We can't seem to live with him and his family, and if we can live without him, nobody's figured out how." and " Especially here in Texas, his strong back and willing heart help form the cornerstone of our daily lives, in ways that many of us do not, or will not, see. The illegal immigrant is the waiter serving margaritas at our restaurant table, the cook preparing our enchiladas. He works grueling hours at a meatpacking plant, carving up carcasses of cattle for our barbecue (he also picks the lettuce for our burgers). He builds our houses and cuts our grass. She cleans our homes and takes care of our children."

As usual the MSM rarely highlights the damage this scourge has on the lives of everyday citizens lives, health, and property. Go figure.

Four presidential candidates make Top-Ten

Judicial Watch has just announced it's ten most corrupt politians. It's worth a read because four of the presidential candidates make this list.

1. Senator Hillary Clinton: Blocked the release of her white house records. Allegations of filing false financial disclosure forms with the U.S. Senate (again)(See previous post-Hillary Uncensored). Her top campaign contributor, Norman Hsu was exposed as a felon and a fugitive from justice in 2007.

2. Former Mayor Rudy Giuliani: his office "billed obscure city agencies for tens of thousands of dollars in security expenses for his affair with Judith Nathan. His former Police Cief and business partner Bernard Kerik pleaded guilty in 2006 to accepting a $165,000 bribe in the from of renovations to his apartment.

3. Governor Mike Huckabee: According to the AP his career has been colored by 14 ethics complaints and a volley of questions about his integrity. Rather than cooperate with investigators, Huckabee sued the state ethics commission twice and attempted to shut the process down.

4. Senator Barack Obama: He was given a "Dishonorable Mention" last year and managed to move up in the ranking in 2007. In 2006 it was discovered that he was involved in a suspicious real estate deal with an indicted political fundraiser. It was reported that just two months after he joined the senate, he purchased $50,000 worth of stock in speculative companies whose major investors were his biggest campaign contributors. He was also nabbed conducting campaign business in his Senate office, a violation of federal law.

Please don't elect another criminal, vote Ron Paul.

Ron Paul walks the walk.

While other politicians run around from photo-op to photo-op, Ron Paul is actually doing something to earn the respect and gratitude of America's law enforcement officers.
He has introduced a bill that would help cops obtain topnotch body armor. HR 3304 would amend the Internal Revenue Code to provide for a tax credit to officers who purchase their own body armor.
Rep. Ron Paul appears to be popular with many US cops. “He’s never found it necessary to force police officers to stand with him for photo opportunities the way other presidential candidates such as Hillary Clinton do,” said New York Police Officer Edna Aguayo.

One police officer claims cops in New York and other states are forced to pose with the likes of Senators Hillary Clinton and John McCain. If an officer refuses, he or she is charged with insubordination by their superiors.

“It’s a joke how these cops are used as props during election campaigns. But Ron Paul doesn’t pay cops lip service — he actually works to help them enforce the law,” said another cop forced to pose with Sen. Clinton during one of her staged “rallies.”

Rank-and-file police officers also applaud Rep. Paul for his pro-sovereignty stance. “The talk must stop. We must secure our borders now. A nation without secure borders is no nation at all. It makes no sense to fight terrorists abroad when our own front door is left unlocked,” said the Texas congressman during a campaign rally.

In addition, Congressman Ron Paul believes that the Second Amendment is “not about duck hunting.” It is an individual right that is guaranteed. He stated that he believes it is about the citizenry having the ability to restrain tyrannical governments and would-be dictators.
e believes the Second Amendment is about self-defense from criminal attack and from governments that break away from the chains of the Constitution. According to a poll conducted by the National Association of Chiefs of Police, more than 75% of the nation’s police officers agree with Rep. Paul’s stance on gun ownership including private citizens carrying concealed weapons for personal protection.

Just recently Congressman Paul opposed the reauthorization of the Clinton-Feinstein semi-auto gun ban. He opposes gun and gun owner registration. And Paul opposes government permission systems that force law-abiding citizens “prove” their innocence before buying or owning firearms.

Hillary Uncensored, Part 1 of 4

Finally there may be something that will derail the Clinton run for the White House. Working it's way through the California courts is a case of fraud, corruption and deceit that may find Hillary guilty of numerous felonies. She is being charged with knowingly working with fund raisers to gather over a million dollars at a Hollywood gala and not reporting it. It will be hard for her to sweep this under the rug if it goes to trial because of the number of high profile stars involved that will have to be deposed. Please be sure to watch all four short videos of this event.

It's time for Justice!

US attorney Johnny Sutton's darling witness,Osvaldo Aldrete-Davila, the drug smuggler who testified against Border Patrol Agents Ramos and Compean has finally been arrested on charges of bringing in more than 750 pounds of marijuana into the US again.

This is the second time Mr. Aldrete-Davila has attempted to smuggle the same amount into the U.S.

It's time to open this complete file, shed light on Johnny Sutton and his lackey Debra Kanof and put them where they belong, in jail.
And it's way past time to release Ramos and Compean and attempt to make it right with them and their families.

Welcome to racially insensitive Eugene

"Shawn Fincher says he could hardly have felt more welcomed when he arrived in Eugene three years ago. Now, he wants to make sure that the athletes who arrive in Eugene for the 2008 Olympic Trials — especially black athletes — feel equally at home."

I think it is a wonderful idea that all competing athletes are made to feel welcome when they visit "Tracktown USA". However, according to Angel Jones, Eugene's city manager pro tem, USA Track and Field officials voiced concerns about Eugene's racial demographics and whether athletes would feel welcome here.

However, Lane County Commissioner Bobby Green, who also served on the committee that presented Eugene's bid, said he doesn't recall USA officials raising any such questions.
Also, Jill Geer, spokeswoman for USA Track & Field, said she and others don't recall if concern about Eugene's demographics was explicitly raised during the site selection process.

This is all well and good but this self appointed welcoming committee is concerned that the rest of us culturally impaired hillbillies that live here will embarrass them and are in need of diversity training. Betty Snowden a Eugene real estate broker and BOTT (Blacks on Track Team) member suggests that "volunteers might be reminded that certain greetings might be appropriate in some instances between two black people, but less so if made by a white person to a black person".
Snowden — who, like Fincher, Jones and Green, is black — said she also has concerns about black people being shadowed by clerks when they visit retail stores. “People of color go through things like that, and that’s not a face that Eugene wants to show,” she said.

Gee, does this mean that I have to keep my sheet and cross locked up in the closet for the whole Olympic Trials?
It would appear that if Mr. Fincher, who is black, could hardly have felt more welcomed when he arrived in Eugene three years ago we must be doing something right.

P R Mexican style

Mexico's newest corrupt president Felipe Calderon has announced concern about the "growing harassment" of Mexicans in the United States. He has called the millions of illegals in America "thematic hostages" of the 2008 presidential campaign and insisted that American politicians not use Mexican illegal aliens as a talking point.
Calderon announced that his administration would finance a media campaign in America to counter the negative image of illegal aliens by focusing instead on “success stories” about Mexican invaders.
Illegal immigration is a scorching hot button issue with Americans who are fed up with your countrymen and women who invade our nation and cost taxpayers hundreds of billions of dollars every year, and who degrade homeland security, education, health care, and nearly every aspect of American life.
Finally, do not waste your corrupt pesos on a PR campaign in America. Instead, save that dinero for the day when millions of illegal aliens are shipped back to Mexico, to your attention, where they belong!

Portland- Haven for the off beat

Imagine finding out that even liberal Portland Oregon doesn't appreciate your peculiar little habits. That's what happened to self-proclaimed pedophile Jack McClellan.

"Though McClellan claims he is sexually attracted to young girls, he said he has never molested one. He started a Web site that advises other pedophiles about the best public places to watch young girls, such as parks and libraries. Outrage over it led McClellan to be hounded out of Washington and California earlier this year, and gained him national notoriety.

In choosing to move to Portland, he cited its reputation as a "haven for offbeat people." But in a cell phone interview with The Oregonian on Monday, McClellan said he's done with the city. "
Tri-Met has temporarily banned Mr. McClellan from it's public transportation system for comments printed on his website:
"I've discovered public transportation has its good points: I regularly ride with LGs," or little girls, whom he notes are "usually accompanied by their low-income mothers only."

His comment on the site indicates it has since been edited. But the police report quotes the comment at the time as continuing: "I've made some drug connections by mingling with other bus riders: a guy gave me a psilocybin mushroom cap this morning (what a beautiful day!), and two guys gave me a couple of hits off their pipe full of strong marijuana while we were waiting for the bus to this Internet cafe (I'm still high as I type this, ha ha)."

How to hyperlink in a blog post

Hope this helps.
It is convenient to copy the url of your link directly by right clicking the url adress in the browser to highlite it and then pasting it directly into your blog post right after you have typed in (a href=) Note, I used ( and ) to illustrate but when you actually type it you use < and >. If I used them here you would not be able to see them because of the hyperlink language.

Bring on the ACLU

Let's all spit on the alter of political correctness. How dare some piss-ant bureaucrat in Washington even think he could interfere with the solemn ceremony surrounding the memorial of our fallen veterans?
Veterans Affairs has a policy that allows for a full military funeral, which includes the playing of taps and the folding of the flag in respectful silence. Upon request, family can have honor guard read special recitations, which include religious symbolism. When a complain was filed to the White House after one of those recitations was read incorrectly, Steve L. Muro, the director of the National Cemetery Administration's field program office, ordered the cemetery directors to stop the readings.
He wrote in a memo obtained by FOXNews.com, "The National Cemetery Administration must not give meaning, or appear to give meaning to the folds of the flag by endorsing or distributing any handouts on 'The Meaning of Each Fold of an Honor Guard Funeral Flag."
A complaint about the recitation for the 11th fold — "in the eyes of a Hebrew citizen, represents the lower portion of the seal of King David and King Solomon, and glorifies, in their eyes, the God of Abraham, Issac and Jacob" — garnered a complaint and prompted the ban.
“Honoring the burial wishes of veterans is one of the highest commitments for the men and women of VA,” said William F. Tuerk, the VA’s Under Secretary for Memorial Affairs, in a statement released late Tuesday. “A family may request the recitation of words to accompany the meaningful presentation of the American flag as we honor the dedication and sacrifice of their loved ones.”
The bottom line is what ever the family wants said or not said is what matters here, not the opinion of one or two self important trouble makers.

A fun little test

Here's a nice little test to see if the candidate you are most drawn to shares your positions. It's from the Minnesota University so most of the tests only apply to that state, but you can take the presidential test. I was surprised to find I was most in agreement with Mitt Romney who I hadn't even considered. It's not perfect but gives you food for thought.

It's all about TB-the border.

Remember the media circus surrounding TB Andy? Andy Speaker was the American that was able to travel to Europe and back after being placed on a no-fly list because he was suspected of having an untreatable form of TB. He was since caught and quarantined. But what about the Mexican citizen that has this disease and has traveled in and out of the US at least 76 times in the past year?

By EILEEN SULLIVAN
Associated Press Writer

WASHINGTON (AP) - For the second time this year, the federal government has failed to stop a man infected with a dangerous strain of tuberculosis from traveling in and out of the United States.

U.S. officials this spring were unable to catch a Mexican man infected with the disease because the doctor treating the man did not know his real name, according to a government official who was briefed on the incident but requested anonymity because the official was not authorized to discuss it publicly.
The Mexican national traveled to the United States 76 times in the past year, even though Mexican and U.S. authorities knew he was infected with a contagious strain of tuberculosis. However, the Mexican clinic that had been treating the man, which is affiliated with the Texas Health department, unknowingly provided a fake name to U.S. authorities, the official said. The Washington Times first reported the episode in Thursday's editions.

LOST-How to give away your own country

LOST is back and I'm not referring to some insipid tv program.
For those of you who don't know LOST is the Laws of the Sea Treaty that has once again reared it's ugly head in the US senate.
This time sponsored by Democratic presidential candidate Senator Joe Biden and pushed by President Bush in order to further undermine our sovereignty and push us even further into the globalist agenda.
LOST is the globalists' dream bill. It would put the United States in a de facto world government that rules all the world's oceans under the pretense that they belong to "the common heritage of mankind." That's global-speak for allowing the United Nations and its affiliated organizations to carry out a massive, unprecedented redistribution of wealth from the United States to other countries.
LOST has already created the International Seabed Authority (ISA) and given it total jurisdiction over all the oceans and everything in them, including "solid, liquid or gaseous mineral resources." LOST even gives the ISA something the UN bureaucrats have lusted after for years: the authority to impose international taxes (disguised by euphemisms such as fees and royalties).
The best protection for U.S. interests in the world's oceans is the U.S. Navy, which should not and must not be subject to orders or regulations made by paper pushers in the ISA or rulings of the International Tribunal. U.S. access to the high seas, as well as freedom of the seas for all countries, is best protected by a great U.S. Navy, not a UN bureaucracy financed by a global tax.

It is critical that you call or email your senators and demand they reject this latest LOSS of sovereignty that our globalist elected officals seem hell bent on subjecting us to before it's too late to save our country.

More San Francisco values

A federal judge has barred the Bush administration from enforcing the law.
U.S. District Judge Charles R. Breyer of Sand Francisco has granted a preliminary injunction against the president's plan to press employers to fire as many as 8.7 million workers with suspect Social Security numbers, starting this fall.
The ruling is in favor of coalition that included the AFL-CIO, the American Civil Liberties Union and the U.S. Chamber of Commerce.
In a statement, AFL-CIO President John J. Sweeney said: "This is a significant step towards overturning this unlawful rule, which would give employers an even stronger way to keep workers from freely forming unions. . . . "
Huh. How does having a valid SSN keep workers from freely forming unions, except when you are recruiting illegals to your ranks.

A three-year government audit ending in 2001 found "widespread" misuse of Social Security numbers by illegal immigrants, who often present fake or fraudulent documents to obtain jobs. Overall, 7.2 million illegal immigrants account for at least 10 percent of low-skilled U.S. workers and 5 percent of the total U.S. workforce, according to a Pew Hispanic Center analysis of 2005 census data.

But it's for the kids

Something to consider if you think taxing cigarette smokers to support child health care is a good idea:

From the San Francisco Examiner.
Belmont apartment dwellers who like to light up in their homes have 14 months to kick the habit, work out a compromise with their nonsmoking neighbors or get out of town.

Under the city's new smoking ban, among the toughest in the nation, apartment residents whose secondhand smoke invades their neighbors' units will be subject to fines of as much as $1,000.
The measure, which the City Council enacted Tuesday on a 3-2 vote, bans smoking in multiunit dwellings as well as in parks, outdoor restaurants and other public places. The apartment provision takes effect around New Year's 2009, while lighting up elsewhere is banned as soon as the law officially takes effect in about a month.
Among those voting "yes" was Mayor Coralin Feierbach, whose father died of cancer and who pushed hard for the law's passage.

"We're doing something no one else has done," the mayor said. "We're pioneers, and sometimes when you're a pioneer you get your head chopped off." Yes, and for a good reason.

We have met the enemy and he is us.

Who is the biggest threat to the nations security? I suggest it's someone in the Bush administration itself.
When a small private intelligence company that monitors Islamic terrorist groups obtained a new bin Laden video 4 days ahead of it' s official release date, it notified the Bush administration of its' secret acquisition, on the condition that the officials not reveal that they had it until the al-Qaeda release. This was a great asset to the workings and secrets of the al Qaeda network until the information was leaked to cable television news and broadcast worldwide within hours of the tip.
“Techniques that took years to develop are now ineffective and worthless,” said Rita Katz, the firm’s 44-year-old founder, who has garnered wide attention by publicizing statements and videos from extremist chat rooms and Web sites, while attracting controversy over the secrecy of SITE’s methodology. Her firm provides intelligence about terrorist groups to a wide range of paying clients, including private firms and military and intelligence agencies from the United States and several other countries.
Al-Qaeda supporters, now alerted to the intrusion into their secret network, put up new obstacles that prevented SITE from gaining the kind of access it had obtained in the past, according to Katz.

While our soldiers are fighting and dying in Iraq and our nation in constant threat of terrorist attack, how can we allow a couple of glory hounds in the administration to compromise any resource we have to fight what we are being told is our greatest threat, al Qaeda? These leakers must be identified, tried and punished for their selfish actions. This transgression far outweighs the Valerie Plame outing in scheme of national security.

STAND UP FOR AMERICA

Still defending America. Jim Broussard, U.S. Army vet from Reno Nevada is still standing proud for America. When he became aware that a local mexican bar was flying the Mexican flag above the American flag he took matters into his own hands and cut the flag down and threw it on the ground.
The bar owner either doesn't know or doesn't care that they are breaking a federal law. From the United States Code Chapter 4 section 7:
"No person shall display the flag of the United Nations or any other national or international flag equal, above, or in a position of superior
prominence or honor to, or in place of, the flag of the United States at any place within the United States or any Territory or possession thereof."

Miller's at it again

As if you needed another reason to not buy Miller Beer products.
Miller Beer the big time supporter of illegal immigration and sponsor of said protest rallies finds it necessary to reach out to the flamboyant gay community in order to sell their swill.
Once again Miller is a corporate sponsor of the Folsom Street Fair, the "kinkiest weekend on Earth".
Some of this sponsorship money will go to support the homosexual group Sisters of Perpetual Indulgence which describes itself as "21st century nuns for the queer".
As reported in the World Net Daily, "during this event the city of San Francisco suspends the law and allows 'gay' men and women to parade the streets fully nude, many having sex – even group orgies – in broad daylight, while taxpayer-funded police officers look on and do absolutely nothing."

The List Continues to Grow

Thirty three year old Phoenix police officer Nick Erfle was married, father of two and an eight year veteran of the police force. He survived cancer but was not able to survive being shot by another illegal alien who had already been deported once and was back in this country illegally.
He was shot by Erik Jovani Martinez who at 22, was in the country illegally last year when he was arrested and convicted on theft charges. He was deported on March 3rd. last year and re-entered the country illegally again.
Martinez was stopped by police officer Erfle on Tuesday for jaywalking on a busy Phoenix street. Knowing he had a felony arrest warrant for aggravated assault, Martinez gave him an alias. When the alias turned out to also have a warrant, Martinez began to fight with the arresting officers and pulled a gun and shot Officer Erfle. The illegal then carjacked a passing car and sped away.
The police stopped the car and when Martinez pointed a gun at his hostage police shot and killed the illegal.

The list continues to grow.

After all, it's science

Hurricane Scientists Flubbed Forecasts for Two Years (Update1)

By Kelly Riddell and Elizabeth Lopatto

Sept. 10 (Bloomberg) -- Hurricane researchers, who forecast seven more storms this season, have flubbed the past two annual estimates because of unusual El Nino and La Nina weather phenomena in the Atlantic and Pacific Oceans.

"The predictions reflect variables that make this kind of weather forecasting ``more art than science,'' said Eric Blake, a hurricane specialist at the National Hurricane Center in Miami."

``We base our forecasts on history,'' said Klotzbach in a telephone interview. ``We make the assumption that the future is going to behave similarly to the past, and that didn't happen last year."

It kinda makes you wonder what else are they "assuming"

Tap dancing with the stars.

Rudy: No crime being an illegal immigrant

BY CRAIG GORDON | craig.gordon@newsday.com
September 8, 2007

According to Rudy, "When you throw an immigrant out of the country, it's not a criminal proceeding. It's a civil proceeding,"

I guess it depends on what the definition of "crime" is.
Where have I heard this type of legalize before, oh yeah it depends on what the definition of "is-is".
To this novice the U.S. code seems rather clear.

United States Code. TITLE 8, CHAPTER 12, SUBCHAPTER II, Part VIII, SEC. 1325.
Sec. 1325.- Improper entry by alien
(a) Improper time or place; avoidance of examination or inspection; misrepresentation and concealment of facts
Any alien who (1) enters or attempts to enter the United States at any time or place other than as designated by immigration officers, or (2) eludes examination or inspection by immigration officers, or (3) attempts to enter or obtains entry to the United States by a willfully false or misleading representation or the willful concealment of a material fact, shall, for the fist commission of any such offense, be fined under title 18 or imprisoned not more than 6 months, or both, and for a subsequent commission of any such offense, be fined under title 18, or imprisoned not more than 2 years.

It's amazing how ridiculous you have to become to defend the indefensible.

Cooking up some global warming.

A full blown scandal is a brewin'. The foundation of the whole global warming hysteria is supposedly based on a network of sensitive and scientific surface temperature measurement stations. However, economics professor Ross McKitrick has charted a dramatic, worldwide closure of one-half of the planet's stations. Many of these stations were in the former Soviet Union (cold latitude) that were expensive to maintain.

A concerned TV and radio meteorologist put out a coll for individuals to photograph and post pictures of each of the 1221 surface stations.
What he found were stations located next to burn barrels, air conditioning exhaust vents and directly above a Weber grill. Could this possibly effect the data that is being observed?

Read my lips, no North American Union!

President George W. Bush is"... amused by the difference between what actually takes place in the meetings and by what some are trying to say takes place,’ said Mr. Bush, responding to concerns raised by conservative and liberal groups and some U.S. lawmakers. ‘It's quite comical actually, to realize the difference between reality and what some people on TV are talking about."

What's amusing (not funny) is that so many "conspiracy theories" from JFK to 9/11 to the SPP North American Union could be silenced by a simple open display of the facts. If there is nothing to worry about at the SPP meetings why are they held in such tight secrecy?
One document uncovered by Judicial Watch speculated that in order to overcome public opposition to North American integration, policies should be developed in secret, what the document called “evolution by stealth.” Other documents talk of sending tax dollars to Mexico to build its infrastructure as part of the SPP, and still other documents talk of carbon taxes.ht secrecy?

Slowly one by one the American people are waking up to horrendous orchestrated distruction of our country and some day, somehow, these traitors are going to be brought to light. Cockroaches, meet the Orkin Man.

Is it just me?

O.K. I admit it, I'm paranoid. But for the last couple of years there have been so many things going on in this country that just don't make sense. Such as we can spend billions of dollars rebuilding Iraq but can't fix New Orleans and our bridges are falling down. We are told there are jobs Americans won't or can't do such as operate our ports, build our own roads, cut our own lawns, etc. Hell, we can't even get a fence built with $80 millions dollars. We can send troops to fight terrorism in other countries but we can't protect our own border from those same terrorists.
So when I read the following two articles in the World Net Daily my spidey senses started tingling.

Article one is about how the governor of Colorado has declared a disaster emergency suspending some state regulations for the trucking industry because the wheat harvest this year is 119% larger than last years and the largest in 10 years. This would appear to be good news except that they fear they won't have enough trucks and rail cars to move the wheat to market. They are suspending the regulations in order to allow trucks to be brought in from-Kansas.

Article two is about the Mexican trucks are scheduled to begin invading our country as early as September 1st. even though the DOT audit ordered by congress states that there are a couple of areas of concern that haven't been corrected. We are now being told that the demands of the audit are merely suggestions. According to Todd Spencer, the executive vice president of the Owner-Operator Independent Drivers Association, "Reading the inspector general's report, there are many serious safety concerns that are still far from resolved," he said. "Now we're just supposed to ignore those recommendations and let the Mexican long-haul rigs roll anywhere they want in the United States, regardless whether it's safe or not?"

My question is do we really need special government intervention to allow trucks from another state to haul wheat from Colorado or are they bringing in Mexican trucks along the "non-existing" Nafta Superhighway throught the proposed Mexican port in Kansas City?

Join the Ron Paul Revolution

Rep. Ron Paul wins the Rodney Dangerfield award for getting no respect from the MSM.
Once again he outshined the rest of the field in the latest debate according to the unscientific poll conducted by ABC on August 6th.
Paul gathered 28,007 votes. The next closest vote getter was Mitt Romney with 3,724 and Rudy Giuliani with 2,840. Yeah that's right almost 10 times votes for Giuliani.
ABC's post debate Internet survey after the first debate sponsored by MSNBC showed Ron Paul had 9,400 of the 11,000 votes cast with Giuliani, the next ranked candidate barely gathering 150 votes.
How long can they keep ignoring the obvious?

Thank you Judicial Watch

Judicial Watch president Tom Fitton has put Portland mayor Tom Potter on notice over the city's plan to spend $200,000 on a centralized hiring site for day laborers.

"Thomas Fitton, the group’s president, faxed a letter to Potter on Thursday, two days after the Portland Tribune published a piece surveying Judicial Watch’s lawsuits in other jurisdictions over the same issue.
The letter advised of “serious legal concerns” with using taxpayer money to support day laborers, most of whom are undocumented, according to one recent study. He cites a 2006 study by UCLA and the University of Illinois, which found that 75 percent of a sample of 2,260 day laborers across the country were undocumented."

“By establishing and operating the proposed day laborer site, the city will likely be violating federal law,” Fitton writes.

"He further likens the situation to the city running its own “red light” district or illicit drug market so that those participants may have a “safe, orderly and well-regulated environment in which to engage [in] their illicit transactions.”

It's No Fun Being An Illegal Alien, or is it?

Coming soon to a computer near you, "ICED!" a new video game that invites players to step into the shoes of foreigners who run afoul of the U.S. immigration system.
"The game allows you to get into the body of a person, so you can experience what they are going through. There are very few opportunities to get that perspective," said Mallika Dutt, head of the nonprofit Breakthrough, which produced the game and uses new media to highlight social issues around the world.
"ICED!" seeks to show how immigration laws passed in 1996 expanded the number of crimes that can trigger deportation and limited immigrants' rights to appeal.

Players try to avoid deportation by keeping a low profile and performing community service. Shoplifting or jumping a subway turnstile loses points. Lose too many, and your character ends up in a federal detention facility.

Perhaps they can later come out with a new game called "Sold Out", a game where you can be a U.S. Congressman that must talk out of both sides of his face all the while taking bribes and kickbacks to sell out his country.

The surge has some success.

Two of Bush's harshest critics spent eight days meeting with American and Iraqi military and civilian personnel in Iraq.
Their conclusions are sure to upset a lot of people, especially the Democratic leadership.
From the New York Times:
By MICHAEL E. O’HANLON and KENNETH M. POLLACK
Published: July 30, 2007
VIEWED from Iraq,...
"Here is the most important thing Americans need to understand: We are finally getting somewhere in Iraq, at least in military terms. As two analysts who have harshly criticized the Bush administration’s miserable handling of Iraq, we were surprised by the gains we saw and the potential to produce not necessarily “victory” but a sustainable stability that both we and the Iraqis could live with."
"Today, morale is high. The soldiers and marines told us they feel that they now have a superb commander in Gen. David Petraeus; they are confident in his strategy, they see real results, and they feel now they have the numbers needed to make a real difference."

While all the news is not good, in fact they discribe the situation as still grave, how about we give the military the time that we voted for the surge before we demand a pull out and defeat.

Now, how do the Democrates view this news?
"House Majority Whip James Clyburn (D-S.C.) said Monday that a strongly positive report on progress on Iraq by Army Gen. David Petraeus likely would split Democrats in the House and impede his party's efforts to press for a timetable to end the war.
Clyburn noted that Petraeus carries significant weight among the 47 members of the Blue Dog caucus in the House, a group of moderate to conservative Democrats. Without their support, he said, Democratic leaders would find it virtually impossible to pass legislation setting a timetable for withdrawal."

It's sad that they are more concerned with their party's standing than in what is best for our country, our troops and the Iraqi people. God forbid we actually achieve something in this whole mess.

Illegals. Welcome to Safe Haven, Connecticut

The city of New Haven Conn. should change it's name to Safe Haven. In an effort to roll out the welcome wagon to illegal aliens, they are the first city to offer I.D. cards to them. This is said to be an effort to allow the illegals to open bank accounts so they can deposit their money and not be such easy targets for robbers.
How thoughtful.
It makes me wonder if they don't have any Wells Fargo or Bank of Americas there.
In a note of irony: Days after New Haven approved the plan, before cards were given out, U.S. Immigration and Customs Enforcement agents conducted raids there that led to about 30 arrests.
So illegals, please sign up so we know who and where you are.

Come on Peter-rachet it up.

Oregon Congressman Peter DeFazio is concerned that with Bush's executive order 51 which redefines government continuity, and contravenes our constitution, is perhaps a conspiracy that needs to be investigated.
When he asked to view the documents, which are held in the secure "bubble-room", he was denied access even though he has top security clearance and is a leading member of the U.S. House on the Homeland Security Committee.
"We're talking about the continuity of the government of the United States of America," DeFazio says. "I would think that would be relevant to any member of Congress, let alone a member of the Homeland Security Committee."

"Maybe the people who think there's a conspiracy out there are right," DeFazio said.
Do you think?
Simply put, the order gives the president the power to assume control of all governments, Federal, State, Local and Tribal, in the event of a catastrophic national disaster, terrorist attack or civil unrest. All this without the debate or input from congress and now he won't even let them look at the plans.
Impeach Bush now before martial law.

With Friends Like This, Who Needs Enemies?

George Bush thumbs his nose once more at our constitution
On July 17th President Bush made another unconstitutional power grab by signing another executive order. This one is titled "Blocking Property of Certain Persons Who Threaten Stabilization Efforts in Iraq".
This order blocks the property of any person determined by the Secretary of the Treasury, in consultation with the Secretary of State and the Secretary of Defense,

(i) to have committed, or to pose a significant risk of committing, an act or acts of violence that have the purpose or effect of:

(A) threatening the peace or stability of Iraq or the Government of Iraq; or

(B) undermining efforts to promote economic reconstruction and political reform in Iraq or to provide humanitarian assistance to the Iraqi people;

(ii) to have materially assisted, sponsored, or provided financial, material, logistical, or technical support for, or goods or services in support of, such an act or acts of violence or any person whose property and interests in property are blocked pursuant to this order; or

(iii) to be owned or controlled by, or to have acted or purported to act for or on behalf of, directly or indirectly, any person whose property and interests in property are blocked pursuant to this order.

(b) The prohibitions in subsection (a) of this section include, but are not limited to, (i) the making of any contribution or provision of funds, goods, or services by, to, or for the benefit of any person whose property and interests in property are blocked pursuant to this order, and (ii) the receipt of any contribution or provision of funds, goods, or services from any such person.

Sec. 2. (a) Any transaction by a United States person or within the United States that evades or avoids, has the purpose of evading or avoiding, or attempts to violate any of the prohibitions set forth in this order is prohibited.

(b) Any conspiracy formed to violate any of the prohibitions set forth in this order is prohibited.

More laws put into effect by the executive branch without the benefit of congressional debate or vote. The guilt of this crime appears to be determined by the Sec. of Treasury rather than a court of law.
Watch out protesters, you might lose your home.

Just Desserts

Professor Ward Churchill was finally fired.
The Colorado University professor was thrust into the national spotlight for his essay "Some People Push Back: On the Justice of Roosting Chickens." which said "said those killed in the World Trade Center collapse were "a technocratic corps at the very heart of America's global financial empire" and called them "little Eichmanns."
His termination however resulted from an investigation on allegations including misrepresenting the effects of federal laws on American Indians, fabricating evidence that the Army deliberately spread smallpox to Mandan Indians in 1837, and claiming the work of a Canadian environmental group as his own.
Na Na Na Na, Na Na Na Na, Hey Hey Hey, Goodbye.

More from the gang that just doesn't get it.

From the Register Guard:

Published: Saturday, July 7, 2007

Lane County government is so short on money, not even the CEO's job is safe.

The job of county administrator - the chief executive over the 1,500-employee organization - might be expendable if the government must shrink due to funding cutbacks, Commissioner Bill Fleenor said this week.

Board Chairman Faye Stewart is 180 degrees opposite Fleenor: It's because the financial picture is so grim that the county needs another skilled leader at the helm, he said.

"To say we don't need an administrator is a mistake," Stewart said. "We need to find somebody that's got some really good ideas, because this organization is going to need to make some changes."

In fact, Stewart said the job is so big that it warrants help - he wants to create an assistant county administrator position. The board will meet Wednesday on both positions and whether to look locally, nationally or globally for candidates.

And this in from Thursday:
The commissioners agreed to not only replace the leaving administrator, Bill Van Vactor, and to increase the salary of that position by $15-29 thousand, but to also create a new position of assistant that pays $95-130 thousand.

With the county budget hemorrhaging money, the threat of laying off over 200 workers, closing parks, and eliminating DA and Jail personnel, Mr. Stewart wants to open another vein. It seems what we really need is at least 1 less commissioner.

Springfield Vermont was chosen over the "real Springfield, Oregon" to host the premier of the first Simpson's movie. Vermont won with a total of 15,367 votes. Oregon had 13,894 votes and came in third. D'Oh. Great try Mayor Leiken and everyone involved. If we only had a nuclear plant nearby.

Bulldozers don't kill people, people kill people.

This has to be one of the most convoluted arguments I have ever heard.
In 2003, Rachel Corrie, 23, spent part of the year acting as a human shield in Rafah, Gaza, between Israeli bulldozers and Palestinian homes. On March 16, she was run over by an Israeli bulldozer while protesting the demolison.

Quote from attorney Maria LaHood: "Like those who supplied poisonous gas for the Nazis' gas chambers, Caterpillar should be held accountable."
Why stop there? Why not sue the fuel company that supplied the fuel for the bulldozer?
This case needs to be thrown out like the $54 million pants lawsuit.
Just more proof that we have too many lawyers in this country.

Don't Miss Goreapaloosa 2007

I'm sure the liberals that are crying for the "fairness doctrine" and the end to talk radio will want to wait at least until the Reverend Al Gore has finished his summer of love, peace and understanding. What is being promoted as the sensation of the summer, Gorestock also known as Live Earth, is being given at least 75 hours of free coverage by NBC Universal.
"In addition to devoting the entirety of NBC’s Saturday prime-time hours to this Gorestock, hosted by Ann Curry of NBC News, there will be seven hours on CNBC, 18 hours on Bravo, 22 hours on both the Sundance Channel and the Universal HD channel, and three hours combined on Telemundo and Telemundo 2. On top of that, NBC’s press release added that "MSNBC will broadcast special coverage of this global concert event throughout the day with live reports from the concerts in New York and London."
I wonder how much coverage will be given to those experts that differ with the Rev. Gore about the cause and effect of this global problem?

Mexico President: Senate Made Grave Error

MEXICO CITY(AP)— The U.S. Senate made a grave error by failing to pass
legislation that would have led to the legalization of millions of
unlawful immigrants, Mexican President Felipe Calderon said Thursday.

The U.S. “economy could not prosper and advance without the labor of
Mexican and Central American immigrants,” he told a news conference
held with visiting Nicaraguan President Daniel Ortega.

Well gosh I guess we'll just have to wait and see what happens if the government actually enforces our laws and secures the border.

Whew!!!

WASHINGTON - "The Senate drove a stake Thursday through President Bush's plan to legalize millions of unlawful immigrants, likely postponing
major action on immigration until after the 2008 elections."

"It was a victory for Republican conservatives who strongly criticized
the bill's provisions that would have established pathways to lawful
status for many of the estimated 12 million illegal immigrants. They
were aided by talk radio and TV hosts who repeatedly attacked the bill
and urged listeners to flood Congress with calls, faxes and e-mails."

Let's not forget the numerous blogs and websites that have actually led the charge in this issue. The internet was way ahead of talk radio and the TV hosts with the exception of Lou Dobbs.

"From the beginning, the bill's most forceful opponents were southern
Republicans. GOP Sens. David Vitter of Louisiana, Jim DeMint of South
Carolina and Jeff Sessions of Alabama led the charge, often backed by
Texan John Cornyn."
"Also crucial to the bill's demise was opposition from three Democrats
recently elected from GOP-leaning states: Jon Tester of Montana, Claire
McCaskill of Missouri and Jim Webb of Virginia."
Thank you courageous Senators for listening to the voice of the American people and standing up to tremendous forces of the illegal immigration lobby.

Is Fred Thompson what Republicans are Looking For?

Casting himself in the role of Washington outsider, Fred Thompson has a long history as a political insider who earned more than $1 million lobbying the federal government.

Using his access to members of Congress and the White House staff for over 20 years, Thompson lobbied for savings and loan deregulation that hastened the collapse and bail out. He also lobbied for a nuclear energy project that cost the taxpayers more than a billion dollars.

"More recently, while Frist led the Senate, Thompson earned more than $750,000 lobbying for a British reinsurance company that wanted to limit its liability from asbestos lawsuits."

When Howard Baker became the Senate majority leader in 1981, lobbying provided Thompson with about 80 percent of his total income.

Is it getting cold in here?

Forget Global Warming, I think Hell just froze over. Cindy Sheehan and I agree on something.

Cindy Sheehan Quits Anti-War Campaign.
In a letter posted on a liberal website Monday, Sheehan complained about the smears and hatred directed at her by liberals since she renounced her ties to the Democratic Party.
Sheehan also noted that while conservatives "slandered and libeled" her as a "tool of the Democratic Party," liberals did the same thing -- "when I started to hold the Democratic Party to the same standards that I help the Republican Party."
Sheehan also criticized the "peace movement," which she said "often puts personal egos above peace and human life.
"I am going to take whatever I have left and go home," Sheehan wrote on Monday.
I hope Ms. Sheehan can get her life back in order. I am sorry for her loss and for all those who have been killed or maimed in this what seems to be eternal chaos. But I'm glad she finally realized that both sides of this struggle are corrupt and we can carry on without them.

Surrender Monkeys

When I think of San Francisco I think of anything goes. Well, not if you're a couple of politically incorrect chimpanzees masquerading as "surrender monkeys". San Francisco home of non-stop protests draws the line at primates with the wrong message. San Francisco's health code (who knew they had one) prohibits anyone from possessing or having under their control without a permit a "wild and potentially dangerous animal. That includes "the chimpanzee, the baboon, the orangutan, the gibbon and the gorilla."

Wayne Pacelle, president of the Human Society of the United States, decried t he use of live primates in a protest.
"It's a shame that Move America Forward is exploiting animals to score political points," Pacelle said. "Bringing chimpanzees into a crowded situation is potentially dangerous for the animals as well as the public. It also shows this group's disregard for the law, since it's generally illegal to have chimpanzees in San Francisco."

No mention of the legality of chimpanzees masquerading as City officials.
The chimps, April and Jake were in town as part of a protest organized by Move America Forward, a group that opposes Nancy Pelosi and Harry Reid's support on measures that they claim undermine the mission of our troops in Iraq. When confronted with the rule by one of San Francisco's finest, the chimps were carefully returned to their home on Steve Martin's Working Wildlife home, San Fran. was once again safe from this incredible threat.

F*** John McCain

Senator "Amnesty" McCain should keep on running-for the border. While Mr. McCain can't seem to find time to do his elected job, he has now missed 43 Senate votes, he can somehow find time to lobby for his favorite cause, amnesty for 20-30 million illegals. And lobby he did.
Objecting to Senator John Cornyn's concerns about the effects the McCain-Kennedy bill will have on American citizens, McCain basically labeled these genuine concerns as "chicken shit". Evidently concerned that Sen. Cornyn doesn't fully grasp his knowledge on the immigration situation he then told Sen. Cornyn "Fuck you! I know more about this than anyone else in the room," And he should know more about this mess than most because he has done more to give away this country than almost anyone in government.
So mister McCain perhaps you have "Stockholm syndrome" or some other mental illness but please admit your illness and get help or resign.

Why I can't vote for Rudy.

From Jerome Corsi-World Net Daily.

"Questions are being raised over Republican presidential candidate Rudy Giuliani's policy on terrorism, after a report revealed he has strong ties to two foreign investment consortia working to own or lease U.S. toll roads, including the Trans-Texas Corridor 35, which is identified as part of the I-35 "NAFTA Superhighway."
"Giuliani's Houston-based law firm, Bracewell & Giuliani, is identified by the Texas Department of Transportation as the sole law firm representing Cintra Concesiones de Infraestructuras de Transporte, S.A., the Spanish investment consortium that has joined with Zachry Construction Company in San Antonio on the TTC project."
"Just this month, independent journalist Diane Grassi first broke the story of Giuliani's involvement with the NAFTA Superhighway, writing that, "All negotiations for Cintra were and are presently handled by the law firm, Bracewell & Giuliani, LLP, of which Republican Presidential candidate, Rudolph Giuliani, has been a senior executive partner since March 2005. His law firm is the exclusive legal counsel for Cintra."

Rudy is just one more North American Union organizer willing to sell out this country for his own gain. Mark him off my list of possible candidates.

What North American Union?

It's not unusual to hear the mention of the Amero as being the unifying unit of currency of the "not being implemented" North American Union. What is unusual is that it was proposed as far back as 1999.
From the Fraser Institute (a Canadian Think Tank);
"The plan for a North American Monetary Union presented in this study is designed to include Canada, the United States, and Mexico. Under the proposed plan, bank notes and coins of the currency (tentatively called the "amero" ) will have "amero" symbols on one side and national emblems on the other to preserve important symbols of national identity."
Isn't that warm and fuzzy letting us keep our "symbols of national identity".

"When the United States joined other international organizations like the IMF, the World Bank, the World Trade Organization, and the North American Free Trade Agreement, the expected economic and political gains appeared to offset the surrender of some national sovereignty."
Gosh just surrender a little bit of your sovereinty and we'll set up a North American Union Bank and to siphon off a little more of your hard earned money and tell you how to spend what's left. But remember, there is no North American Union in the works.

Our Legal System Is Officially Nuts

How do you know that your legal system is nuts? Well first you have two border guards given 10-12 years in prison for doing their job and defending our country against a lying drug smuggler. Now you have a D.C. judge, Roy Pearson, suing the owners of a dry cleaning shop for losing his pants.
When they originally couldn't find the pants the judge demanded a thousand dollars. The owners refused to pay and found the pants a week later and tried to return them to the judge but by then he was so upset that he sued them for $65 million dollars. Can you spell extortion?

Is the North American Union behind schedule?

Originally the union of Canada, the U.S., and Mexico was to be in 2010, now the Mexico's U. N. representative has stated that it must be done in 8 years, before the U.S. baby boomers retirement wave hits full force. They contend that illegal immigration is actually good for the U.S. economy and do not drain U.S. social services.
Isn't it comforting to know that all these life changing plans are being conducted behind our backs? Why should the American people and the Congress be bothered by all this trivia?

From the "Stop Global Warming" Tour

I think the Sheryl Crow-Laurie David brain trust just might be breathing too many bio-diesel fumes. Traveling around the country on their "Stop the Global Warming Tour" Ms. Crow has come up with a couple of ways to reduce our carbon footprint.
Number one is a "limitation be put on how many sqares of toilet paper can be used in any one sitting." "I think we are an industrious enough people that we can make it work with only one square per restroom visit, except, of course, on those pesky occasions where 2 to 3 could be required."
Number two: "I also like the idea of not using paper napkins, which happen to be made from virgin wood and represent the heighth of wastefullness. I have designed a clothing line that has what's called a "dining sleeve". The sleeve is detachable and can be replaced with another "dining sleeve," after usage. The design will offer the "diner" the convenience of wiping his mouth on his sleeve rather than throwing out yet another barely used paper product.. I think this idea could also translate quite well to those suffering with an annoying head cold."
I can't even come up with the words to describe my reaction to this silliness except maybe Yuck.

Illegal Immigration Rally in Eugene 4/21/07

Well, there weren't too many people that turned out for todays Illegal immigration rally-maybe 25 or so. We did have the honor of having Jim Gilchrist the president of the Minuteman Project as guest speaker along with Rick Hickey from Oregonians for Immigration Reform, Richard Sturm from KPNW radio, and Hans Zeiger, a student activist from Hillsdale College in Michigan. Hans is a great example of the younger generation that we need to carry this ball in the future.
It's depressing that we don't have more visible support from the Americans in the construction and service industries that are being displaced by illegal immigration but maybe they will eventually wake up and see the threat just as the Teamsters are finally doing. I hope we have a bigger turnout in Salem on April 23rd, 24th, and 25th for the Trucker Slowdown for the boycott of Mexican trucks being allowed to drive in the U.S.
Hope to see you there!
